Learn to create a layered linocut using the reduction method. This method uses one block of lino to create each layer of colour in your image. With each layer, more lino is removed from the block, and each colour is printed over the last. With this technique, you often work from the lightest colour to the darkest.
The aim of this session is to learn and understand the technique, rather than make a full edition. You will be able to apply what you’ve learnt from the session, to create other reduction prints at home. During this session, you will use registration pins and tabs to create aligned prints every time.
