EC Lyons Spitsticker Tool
EC Lyons makes high-quality tools for wood engraving. These tools are made from high-carbon tool steel.
The tip of a Spitsticker is pointed, but the sides are curved. This makes it possible to draw long, fluid lines that twist and curve gracefully, tapering rather than ending in a flat or round edge (like lines drawn with a scroller). Used lightly, a spitsticker will score a thin line; the line will swell if the tool is engaged further into the wood.
Available in sizes #1, #3 and #5. The smaller the number, the finer the tool.
