Akua Intaglio Ink
Akua Intaglio inks from Speedball are highly pigmented inks, excellent for drypoint and etching. They can also be used for relief printmaking, monotype and collograph printmaking. These inks are soy-based, will not skin over in the jar and clean up easily and safely with soap and water. Wiping intaglio plates becomes much quicker and cleaner with Akua inks whilst leaving plenty of ink in grooves resulting in a high quality print. Dries through absorption into paper fibres. Akua inks are less viscous than standard oil based inks, if you prefer a stiffer ink we would recommend modifying Mag Mix.
Available in Carbon Black (warm, standard black) , Lamp Black (blue black), Mars Black (warm, faster drying), Bone Black (cool, good for tonal range), Titanium White, Opaque White, Hansa Yellow, Diarylide Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Pyrrole Orange, Scarlet Red, Crimson Red, Quinacridone Magenta, Carbazone VIolet, Untramarine Blue, Prussian Blue, Phthalo Blue, Phthalo Green, Green Oxide, Red Oxide, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Vandyke Brown, Paynes Grey, Graphite, Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver.
